The program is for anyone with an interest in working in the Unama’ki – Cape Breton film industry, whether you’ve worked in film before or are eager to get started.  Your submitted information may also be shared with future production teams looking for local crew and talent.

Your information will be kept on digital file by the Cape Breton Partnership. Your information may be shared with production teams in the future. Although your submitted information will be treated confidentially, the Cape Breton Partnership does not assume any liability in the security of your submitted information. As your information may be shared with external partners to explore future work opportunities, you acknowledge that submitting this information is granting permission for it to be shared.

Your information will be kept in the list until you request for it to be removed. You may be contacted periodically to confirm that you intend to remain on the list or be removed.

The Cape Breton Partnership is currently working with Screen Nova Scotia, various unions, and both Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) and Cape Breton University to develop training programs to support the growth of the industry. When workshops are held, they will be shared on this page, as well through the Cape Breton Partnership’s newsletter and social media channels.

The Cape Breton Futures in Film Program and the Cape Breton Partnership’s Creative Economy Development service are made possible through the Cape Breton Regional Enterprise Network (CB REN) and the Cape Breton Regional Municipality Regional Enterprise Network (CBRM REN). These Regional Enterprise Networks are administered by the Cape Breton Partnership and funded by the Province of Nova Scotia through the Department of Growth and Development and local partners through the CBRM REN (Cape Breton Regional Municipality) and CB REN (Municipality of the County of Inverness Municipality of the County of Richmond, Municipality of the County of Victoria, Eskasoni Mi’kmaw Nation, Membertou, Wagmatcook First Nation, We’koqma’q L’nue’kati, and the Town of Port Hawkesbury).
