Members from the Cape Breton Partnership team and the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration are hosting sessions to share and gather information about newcomers and immigration in your communities across Unama’ki – Cape Breton this September.

The Supporting Newcomers, Employers & Community events are open to anyone!

You don’t need to be an employer, work with newcomers, or have any prior knowledge about immigration.

Sessions will be held in the following communities:

📆 September 19 in Port Hood
📆 September 20 in Glace Bay
📆 September 26 in Cleveland
📆 September 27 in Ingonish

Hear from the Cape Breton Partnership about available programs and supports, including:

  • ➞Immigration programs and options,
  • ➞Programs to help newcomers settle in Unama’ki – Cape Breton, and
  • ➞Ways community member can support and welcome newcomers.

Hear from the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration on their services, including:

  • ➞Provincial immigration programs,
  • ➞Ways the Province can support employers and newcomers, and
  • ➞How to connect with the Department.
