In 2023–2024, the Cape Breton Partnership marked two decades of service as Unama’ki – Cape Breton’s trusted, independent economic development partner — while continuing to deliver purposeful, collaborative support to communities, businesses, and investors across the Island.
Guided by its mandate to promote the region as a great place to live, work, and invest; foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship; and connect businesses and entrepreneurs with the resources they require, the Cape Breton Partnership worked in close partnership with municipalities, First Nation communities, and the private sector to support workforce and population growth, drive economic diversification, and catalyze investment across strategic sectors.
Throughout the year, the organization expanded its capacity by adding key team members to support immigration, green-energy engagement, and regional development — enabling more targeted and effective support for newcomers, employers, and communities.
The 2023–2024 Year in Review details these efforts and achievements, reflecting a shared commitment to building a welcoming, resilient, and prosperous future for all residents and stakeholders of Unama’ki – Cape Breton.
