In 2022–2023, the Cape Breton Partnership continued to advance collaborative, community-focused economic development across Unama’ki – Cape Breton. Guided by the organization’s values of sustainability, reconciliation, inclusivity, optimism, and innovation, the year was marked by meaningful progress in workforce development, population attraction and retention, business growth, and sector advancement.
Through the Regional Enterprise Network model, the Cape Breton Partnership worked closely with municipalities, First Nation communities, and private-sector partners to respond to local needs while supporting new opportunities for long-term economic resilience.
Throughout the year, the organization strengthened support for entrepreneurs, expanded programming for newcomers and employers, and helped businesses navigate changing economic conditions through advisory services, training, and connection to resources.
These collective efforts contributed to a more welcoming, innovative, and economically diverse region. The 2022–2023 Year in Review highlights these accomplishments and reflects a shared commitment to building a vibrant and prosperous future for all who call Unama’ki – Cape Breton home.
