June 24, 2019 // Franchising.com // Mississauga, Ontario – FlannelJax’s, an axe throwing and recreation sports experience franchise headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, announced plans to open a new customer care center in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The center will streamline inquiries to better serve all FlannelJax’s customers as well as create valuable new jobs.

The new customer care center will open in mid-July at 1290 Kings Road in Sydney. The center will handle inbound calls for FlannelJax’s current and future locations, as well as online messages through FlannelJax’s website. Representatives will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. to book axe throwing events, handle inquiries and provide additional service for FlannelJax’s customers.

“The creation of the customer care center will be beneficial for FlannelJax’s customers and operators, as well as the Sydney community,” said Stephen Schober, CEO of FlannelJax’s. “Our representatives will provide unparalleled service to our customers while allowing our franchise owners and their staff to focus on running the daily operations of the business and providing the best possible customer experience. We will also be able to provide valuable jobs to qualified service representatives in the Sydney area.”

The customer care center has already recruited an experienced manager for the location to lead operations and is now in the process of recruiting five to seven customer service representatives. As the business continues to grow and expand, the customer care center plans to add upwards of 30 employees over the next five years. A job fair seeking customer service representatives will be held on Monday, June 24 at the Holiday Inn at 300 Esplanade in Sydney.

One of the factors for FlannelJax’s selecting Sydney as the customer care center location is the high number of experienced call center agents in the area. FlannelJax’s worked with the Cape Breton Partnership in the planning and development of the center. The Cape Breton Partnership is an organization that unites businesses and communities across the Cape Breton region with the goal of driving the local economy forward.

“As Cape Breton’s economic development organization, we are excited to see a growing company chose our island as a place to do business,” said Cape Breton Partnership President & CEO Carla Arsenault. “We were able to connect FlannelJax’s to the resources they needed to expand here, and the jobs created as a result will directly benefit our local economy.”
