The Cape Breton Partnership invites you to attend the Richmond County Business Dinner, which will be hosted by the Cape Breton Regional Enterprise Network (CBREN) on Monday, October 22 at the Dundee Resort and Golf Club. You are welcomed to join members of the private sector community for an evening to celebrate and support local business, foster collaboration, and engage in discussion.
The event will feature a keynote address from Mary Tulle (CEO, Destination Cape Breton) and Bernadette Power (Acting Director, Toursim, ACOA), as well as an updated from CBREN Economic Development Officer for Richmond County, Jeff Stanley. A three-course meal (including summer salad, chicken dinner, and dessert) will be served, and the evening will be an opportunity for the local business community to network and explore opportunities for the year ahead.

CEO - Destination Cape Breton Association
Mary has been in the tourism industry for 29 years and CEO of Destination Cape Breton Association (DCBA) for eight years.
Prior to joining DCBA, Mary had a tourism consulting business that included Signature Attractions of Atlantic Canada, Atlantic Canada Cruise Association, Canada Select, Atlantic Canada Visitor Satisfaction Program, Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation and Destination Cape Breton Association as clients.
As CEO of Destination Cape Breton, Mary’s responsibilities are all-encompassing; developing and implementing a strategy, facilitating and leading with industry and community influencers regionally, provincially and nationally to ensure that Cape Breton capitalizes on building and promoting the Island as one of the top tourism destinations in the world. The Island’s national and international travel awards and accolades are a testament to Mary’s vision and belief that mobilizing and engaging stakeholders at all levels, is paramount to building a strong and healthy economy, through the flourishing tourism industry on Cape Breton Island.
Acting Director, Toursim - Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency
A graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island, Bernadette has dedicated the past 15 years to the development and promotion of Atlantic Canada’s tourism industry. She has provided support both in the development of province specific initiatives for PEI as well as multi-provincial initiatives across Atlantic Canada. Her past experience includes collaborating with key stakeholders in the development of sectors including cruise, meetings and conventions, and food tourism. Currently the Director of Tourism for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, she is leading the development and implementation of the Agency’s Tourism Innovation Action Plan. She is keenly interested in leveraging the well-established federal/provincial/industry partnerships across the Atlantic Canada to positively impact the region’s economy. Bernadette resides in Stratford, PEI with her husband Paul, daughters Lucy and Kate, and their cat Smithwicks (who hails from Capstick)!
