Nominations are now closed for the 2026 Economic Impact Awards
The Economic Impact Awards annually recognize individuals and organizations from multiple industries for their outstanding contributions to the economy. Award recipients will be chosen based on their significant contribution to the Unama’ki – Cape Breton economy through innovation, entrepreneurship, and new investments. The selection committee’s decision will also take into consideration the nominees’ commitment to the region and the work they have accomplished that has had a positive impact on the economy over the past year.
Though the selection committee cannot recognize every nominee with an award, we appreciate all nominations made and the impact all nominees have made on the Island’s economy and their communities.
Recipients of the 2026 Economic Impact Awards will be announced in advance of the Cape Breton Partnership’s annual Investor Summit on October 22 at the Inverary Resort on Baddeck Bay and will be presented live during the Gala Dinner. Tickets for the 2026 Investor Summit are now on sale!

The Cape Breton Partnership is excited to host the annual Cape Breton Partnership Investor Summit, presented by Nova Scotia Power, on October 22, 2026, at the Inverary Resort on Baddeck Bay, featuring keynote speaker Eric Termuende!
The Cape Breton Partnership’s Investor Summit annually brings together over 200 business, community and government leaders from across Nova Scotia. Summit attendees will have the opportunity to network, collaborate, and discuss issues facing the local economy, and be able to provide input on building a strong economic future for Unama’ki – Cape Breton.
