To accomplish this, the Cape Breton Partnership is looking to hire a dynamic and multi-talented Promotion and Events Intern for an 8-week summer job placement who will support the Partnership’s initiatives and activities related to internal and external events, as well as assist with the development and implementation of a broad range of communication and marketing strategies that support the organization amongst key stakeholders.

The Job

Reporting to the President & CEO or designate, the Promotion and Events Intern is responsible for supporting and assisting the communications and marketing functions of the Cape Breton Partnership’s various initiatives and events.


  • Work with the Regional Enterprise Network team to arrange conferences, meetings and information sessions;
  • Assist Regional Enterprise Network staff with writing/editing internal and external communications to various stakeholders; including content for social media, the web and newsletters;
  • Take photos for use on web, social media and Cape Breton Partnership/Regional Enterprise Network publications;
  • Promote and market Cape Breton Partnership brand, other investor brands and Partnership-related programs and services;
  • Research key economic indicators and social demographic information; and
  • Assist with other Partnership initiatives as required.
