Position: Regional Enterprise Network Special Events Intern (Victoria County & Richmond or Inverness County)

 

The Cape Breton Partnership was formed in 2004 with an aim of instilling ownership, confidence and pride to enhance prosperity in Cape Breton.  The Partnership is dedicated to developing a united approach to addressing economic issues and growth opportunities within the region, while also encouraging the retention and expansion of existing companies by identifying barriers and ways to remove them. The Partnership seeks to increase economic prosperity by mobilizing the energy, expertise, and resources of both the private and public sector.

 

The Cape Breton Partnership is recruiting a Regional Enterprise Network Special Events Intern

(Victoria County & Richmond or Inverness County) for an 8-week summer student placement.

 

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will assist with the following duties:

  • Work with the Regional Enterprise Network team on organizing and hosting meetings and events in local communities.
  • Work on marketing efforts for the Regional Enterprise Network.
  • Responsible for uploading new content and data to the Invest in Cape Breton website, as well as archiving outdated content.
  • Work alongside the CBREN’s communications and marketing team to manage and update the content on CBREN’s website.

 

Additional Opportunities:

  • Region wide networking, media relations, Investor relations, stakeholder management, strategic planning, as well as the promotion and marketing of the Cape Breton Partnership brand and other investor brands.

 

Qualifications: Student must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and returning to their studies in the fall.

 

Dates: July 2, 2018 – August 24, 2018
