The Cape Breton Partnership invites you to attend the Cape Breton • Unama’ki Immigration Summit on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Verschuren Centre, Cape Breton University.
Cape Breton • Unama’ki Immigration Summit will bring together community members, business leaders, entrepreneurs, municipalities, newcomers, students, settlement agencies, and other community stakeholders for a positive dialogue and exchange on immigration in Cape Breton.
Join us in discussing how our Island is coming together to grow our economy and help shape a welcoming and inclusive Cape Breton Island. The summit will include a Community Update from the CBLIP, a keynote address from Francis McGuire, President of Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), with an important message about our responsibility as a community to support newcomers, and Shelley Bent, Director of Programs for the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration, will provide an Immigration update. This will also be a chance to learn about the Atlantic Immigration Pilot and see some highlight success stories in our region first hand.
