Save the date - Oceans & Offshore Supplier Readiness Conference - February 17-18, 2016.


The Cape Breton Partnership is hosting a two day Oceans & Offshore Supplier Readiness Conference in Port Hawkesbury, NS at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Center from February 17-18. The conference will bring together developers, suppliers, utilities, engineers, government, and researchers for two days of presentations, panel discussions and workshops highlighting safety, business readiness, and the strengths of Atlantic Canada’s Oceans & Offshore energy sector.

 

Topics of focus include: challenges of working in a harsh ocean environment; preparing your business for major energy projects; shore-side safety; overview of provincial programs and certificates to work offshore; building capacity through joint ventures; and the importance of safety onshore and offshore. The conference will also provide a forum for knowledgeable energy associations and government leaders to present the latest in energy development and discuss global and local opportunities.

 

Trade booths will be set up for participants to display their business and organization to delegates. Allowing delegates to explore a variety of upcoming projects and focus in on presentations that would most directly impact their business or industry. Networking opportunities will be provided in the form of a reception and dinner the night before the conference, a break in the morning of the conference and a keynote luncheon speech followed by a short networking session.
