The Cape Breton Partnership is pleased to introduce Partners for Growth, a mentorship program to encourage and support increasing women’s involvement as decision-makers in community-based organizations.

Partners for Growth will focus on providing mentors to young professional women from both rural and urban communities in Cape Breton who are eager to develop their leadership skills and initiate and enhance their involvement in community organizations. The Partnership considers this project and important step to enhance women’s abilities to become decision-makers within their communities.

Through an application and selection process mentees will be matched with mentors whose experience and expertise align with the goals of the mentees. A mentee would be a young woman currently or just entering the workforce with little civic engagement but a desire to develop leadership and decision-making capabilities.  Mentors will be women working in a senior decision-making role within her community or organization and having experience in participating on the board of a community or business organization.

If you are interested in participating in this project as a mentor, please fill out this application form.
