Slips, Trips and Falls (STF) are one of the major causes of injuries for Nova Scotia workers. Injured Workers who suffer a STF average 92 lost days from work. The primary contributors are ice and snow, water and liquid, getting in and out a vehicle, or going up and down steps and stairs. On average 1,403 claims each year missed time from work due to a Slip, Trip or Fall. Presented by WCB Nova Scotia, this lunch and learn session will highlight the impact, prevention and action taken to deal with one of these leading injuries. This session will also review options to deal with STF hazards and how you can work together in your workplace to find solutions.
